Wine has always been central to Claro. Our list is extensive and constantly evolving, built with the same care as the food it sits alongside and our Head Sommelier - Ron - is always happy to guide you through it. From Monday, 7th September, we're pouring a collection of German Riesling from a private cellar, with vintages spanning 1997 to 2024.

 

Riesling balances sugar against acidity, which is why the same grape can produce wines that are bone dry or as rich as honey, and why it is so rewarding to taste side by side. Every wine on the list is available as a 50ml pour, so you can move across the spectrum in a single sitting. Try something dry alongside something sweet, or set a young vintage against one that has spent thirty years in a cellar. Older Riesling develops aromas of petrol and honey on the nose while staying bright and lively on the palate. Most pours are between £6 and £14, with a few of the rarest at £22.

 

These are single bottles from a private collection, some of them in halves. When a bottle is finished it comes off the list and there is no replacing it. First come, first served. Enjoy!
