the kent edit: a celebration of the garden of england

The Kent Edit is a month-long seasonal menu celebration at Claro, a modern Mediterranean restaurant in St James's, London, running from 1 July to 31 August 2026.

This summer, we're looking just down the road, to Kent — the Garden of England — and the growers, makers and farmers who've earned it that name. For July and August only, The Kent Edit brings the county's finest seasonal produce to the heart of St James's. An introduction to the producers of Kent through Macknade in Faversham opened the door to a whole world of small-scale artisans and world-class makers, and we've spent the last few months working closely with them to build something that feels properly rooted in place.

You'll find heritage potatoes from Morghew Park Estate, served as a potato confit with Bowyers Brie from Canterbury Cheese Makers and venison salami from Wilsons Provisions. Lamb kebabs with Kentish apricots, freekeh and a Foxes Honey vinaigrette. A bright tomato and cherry salad with Ellie's Goat's Cheese, wild rocket and coriander. And for dessert, a celebration of summer sweetcorn from Lathcoats Farm, or Cherries & Mahlab made with fresh cherries from Mockbeggar Farm.

It's the way we've always liked to cook, letting exceptional ingredients lead, then bringing out their character through cooking with our signature Mediterranean flair.

Featured dishes appear as highlighted additions to the à la carte menu, alongside selected wines and specials. Come and taste the very best of Kent, the Claro way.
